NorVol Jazz network status
Thanks to people who commented on the future status of the NorVol Jazz network. The results of this will be discussed at the next NorVol network meeting which will be held at the Manchester Jazz Festival – at the mjf office in the Board Room on Saturday 25 May 2019 from 10:30-12:30 at Elliot House, 151 Deansgate, Manchester M3 3WD
Here’s a surprise – we’re number 5 in the UK jazz blogs – we beat the Guardian!
Thanks for all your support in providing the information over the past five years folks – keep ’em coming, must be doing some good… Glad to report also that Lance Liddle’s Bebop Spoken Hear blog, based in Newcastle, was number 3 in the same chart!

Our Latest News and Developments
Discussed the network, and how we might improve it. Suggested that we widen the network to be more that just promoters – we could include funded organisations, musicians, commercial venues as well. The current set of network minutes from our meeting at the Queens Hotel Leeds, on Saturday 19 January 2019.
Emerging Artist Programme
Leeds College of Music, together with Norvoljazz network, have organised six jazz groups in an emerging artist programme – if you would like to book one of these bands – say as a support band, or to fill a gap in your programme in the near future, do get in touch. (Read more…)
